A nice Edwards Quadrate #65 salmon rod, 9'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, built for what feels to me like a #8 or a #9. All original but fair condition due to varnish adhesion in the bag. 8.4 ounces. Medium action. The rod is very straight and I do not think it was fished hard. Maroon wraps with black edges. High arch snake guides. The 6 1/2" long grip is squared to meet the tenite front cork check and shaped to a western profile. The hidden pocket cap fro the uplocking seat adds another 3/4" to the grip. The seat looks to be all tenite and is a generous 5" long. A ferrule is set in the bottom of the seat to accept the 6" long fighting butt, which is itself composed of tenite, cork, tenite, and a rubber button. One snake guide at the bottom of the tip has been re-wrapped. With a little TLC this rod could be restored to very usable condition. Packs in a heavy maroon bag and original aluminum tube.
