For sale here is a rare Gene Edwards - "De Luxe" 7' 2 pc. spinning rod. The rod is in excellent original condition there are however a few issues. There is very fine alligatoring in the varnish throughout the rod. This is not noticeable at first glance. There is also dramatic set in both sections. Lastly, the butt section ferrule needs to be reset. The rod features moderately tempered pumpkin-toned cane. The silks are chestnut with pale gold tipping. The winding check features a gold band in the middle along with the tipping. There is also a series of five bands alternating chestnut and gold. Bright guides. Ring hook-keeper. Classic, bakelite winding check. The grip has been cleaned a bit too roughly causing a bit of ridging on the cork. There is also a reel foot indention from years of use. Dual aluminum sliding band reel seat. Bakelite butt cap with a white button in the middle. The nickel silver ferrules are size 14/64 with an excellent fit. The action is parabolic and swift. The rod weighs 4 1/2 oz. the rod includes the original bag with label and original tube sans cap. Don't miss out on this fine bamboo spinning rod.

All items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days.
