For sale here is a Ted Godfrey Classic Model 275 fly reel. 2 3/4" diameter. 0.93" pillar width. Capacity DT5+25yds. Left-hand retrieve but reversible to right if desired. Reel weighs 5.6 oz. with the included backing. Near mint condition with the most minor handling marks.Nickel silver counterbalance, rims, bolstered pillars, drag plate and arm, screws. Aluminum spool, foot, and handle arm. Comes with a fantastic Arne Mason leather case.An amazing reel and you can get it here without the wait and for less than the current retail price of $1650 plus $300 for the Arne Mason case.

Now in production for twelve years, the Classics have become the pinnacle design, most popular, and indeed the signature model of Godfrey Reels.
The Classic and actually all Godfrey reel designs that closely followed were born of a love of Classic Walker, and Vom Hofe reels. A Walker TR-4 was my constant fishing companion in the 1960's and 70's. It was purchased at the now long defunct Angler's Den in Georgetown, Washington DC.
The Classic features a dependable click and pawl tension system as demonstrated by the Landlocks, and a sweet run-out song that is understood by experienced anglers. The reel has modern design easy take down, easy spool change and left-hand right hand conversion. A reel for all anglers who appreciate the best!

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
