For sale here is a hollow-built bamboo rod handcrafted in Japan by Katsumi Harada - 7 feet 3 inches, two sections, one tip, for a 3 weight line. The rod is constructed from madake cane, creating a light and medium progressive action, aided by his use of a carbon and bamboo spigot ferrule system, allowing the rod taper to flex consistently through the ferrule sections. Harada-san points out that madake cane has very fine fibers, resulting in a slower action, yet not weak. The fine fibers also result in blanks with a very smooth and beautiful surface.Beautiful maple spacer. Translucent silk wraps are tipped gold. The rod weighs 2.55 oz. Three-up node pattern. The spar urethane varnish is very nicely done. The cigar grip is 5" long. Comes with custom rod bag and stunning wooden rod box.
