A nice Hardy Bougle Heritage fly reel with a spare spool, 3" diameter and set up for LHW (though easily reversible). Made in England. There is one small mounting mark on one end of the foot but I could find no sign that the reel has been fished at all. It is pristine otherwise, and I suspect mounted on a rod a time or two, but never lined or used. Serial B74203. This is the modern reissue done in 2013, the 110th birthday of when the model was originally introduced in 1903 at the request of frenchman Louis Bouglé, an extremely knowledgeable fisherman and tournament caster who requested that Hardy produce a reel with a good line capacity and low weight. Silver finish throughout, with the rod in hand logo stamped on the winding plate. Ivorine style handle. The spare spool appears to be a slightly later MK IV version of the reintroduced Bougle (it has the twist instructions around the center, while the primary spool doesn't). Smooth click and pawl drag. Designed to hold a DT4 and 100 yards of backing. The reel comes in the original black leather zip case and box, and the spare spools comes in its original box as well.
