Hardy Bros. Fibalite "Smuggler" 8' 6wt Fiberglass Fly Rod

For sale here is a Hardy Bros. Fibalite "Smuggler" 8' 6wt 4 pc. fiberglass fly rod. The rod is in excellent plus condition with very slight marks from use. The rod features a dark brown blank with golden wraps and black tipping. Bright guides. Spigot ferrules for a smooth transfer of energy and a streamlined profile. The sections fit together perfectly with a 1/8" gap to allow for wear over time. Ring hook-keeper. The script and labels remain in excellent condition though there is a tiny chip missing from the bottom of the Hardy label. Cigar grip 5 5/8" in length. The cork is only lightly soiled and free of any defects. Bright aluminum cap and ring reel seat with a cork spacer. Light wear around the edge of the butt cap. The rod weighs an even 3 oz. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast and quite smooth - a great glass action. Though a 6wt, the rod would still make for a great all-around stick as the rod finds a good balance between finesse and power. The 4 pc. construction makes it ideal for travel or as a back-up rod. Includes original bag and no tube.
