For sale here is a nice example of a pre-war Hardy Perfect Duplicated MK II wide drum fly reel from the 1930s with a nickel silver line guard. Badged for retailer H.C. Golcher & Co. San Francisco. The tensioner functions perfectly throughout its range. No excessive spool/spindle play. If you'll notice, the gear teeth are in fantastic condition for a reel of this age! The ebonite handle spins freely. The original ribbed brass foot has been neatly and smoothly filed on one end to aid the fit on modern reel seats. All in all, a spectacular Hardy reel in a hard to find size.
