From the estate of author, fishing guru, and winner of the Buz Buszek award, Andre Puyans:
For sale here is a nice example of a pre-war Hardy Perfect Duplicated MK II wide drum fly reel from the 1930s with a nickel silver line guard. Badged for retailer H.C. Golcher & Co. San Francisco. The tensioner functions perfectly throughout its range. No problematic wobble or end play. If you'll notice, the gear teeth are in fantastic condition for a reel of this age! The ebonite handle spins freely. The original ribbed brass foot is unaltered. All in all, a spectacular Hardy wide drum reel in a hard to find size. It also comes with a very fine Homa leather reel case.
