For sale here is a very nice example of a pre-war Hardy Perfect Duplicated MK II wide drum fly reel from the late 1920s. Much of the leaded surface still remains. Original, unmolested ribbed brass foot. The tensioner functions perfectly throughout its range. The spool/spindle fit is nice and tight. The ebonite handle spins freely. No cracks, chips, or dings. All in all, a spectacular pre-war Hardy wide drum reel in a very hard to find size. "JS" for reel maker Jimmy Smith on the frame as well as a badge "Made for James S. Neill & Sons, Ltd. Fredericton, N.B."
