For sale here is a stunning Hardy St. George 3 inch fly reel with three-screw latch from the late 1920s / early 1930s. All original and in excellent condition throughout. Ribbed brass foot and duplicated MKII check. The reel is very tight mechanically, no issues to disclose. No cracks. Dark brown unblemished agate line guide. Wonderful condition ebonite handle spins freely. Tension regulator works as intended. Nice strong check throughout its range. "TAG" initials on the inside frame stand for Hardy reel-maker Thomas Armstrong (1928-1978).
This reel will ship from the UK where Vintage Fly Tackle is now set-up to accept consignments from the EU community.
If you know of any of these reels for sale in the future, please contact me. I have many buyers looking to pay top dollar for reels like this in fantastic original condition.
