Hardy Brass Bronzed Platewind Reel [SALE PENDING]

A nice Hardy Brass Bronzed Platewind reel, 4 1/4" in diameter which perhaps slightly favors LHW though is pretty close to neutral. Made from the 1880's this size was discontinued in 1910 and was second in price only to Hardy's ebonite and German silver offering. A nice example of this model, this reel has normal cosmetic wear and patina that you'd expect of a reel this age, but is in good condition with a straight foot and no defects that I could find. The click is very loud and the wind has one area that is a little heavier during it's turn, though it could be from age and lack of use rather than anything mechanical. I'm not 100% sure. No lightweight, this reel clocks in at 22.9 ounces. A nice example for those who love early Hardy reels.
