An H.L. Leonard 36-3 "Standard" bamboo fly rod, 6', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #3 line. Serial #81168 dating to 1981. The rod weighs 2.5 ounces on my scale. Fast dry fly action. Very modest use, with slight cracking at the ferrule wraps and the grip was cleaned leaving it ridgy. One tip was replaced (by me) many years ago and is slightly (one shade) darker in temper. The "Standard" was a blond/wheat straw color rod with 3-up nodes, and this one fits that description. Honey lemon color main wraps with a band of red and yellow at the keeper and male ferrules. The ferrules are wrapped in brown. SRMC carbide stripper and black snake guides. The step ferrules are polished bright and fits well. The cork reel seat is a 4 1/2" long medium cigar. The mortised, varnished seat is comprised of a tiger stripe maple spacer with a nickel silver cap and ring. The cap has the stamp "H.L. Leonard Rod Co, The Rod Maker, Since 1869." The rod comes with a top hat ferrule plug. The rod comes in a tan poplin bag with a leather pull tab and a Leonard data tag. The tube is brushed aluminum with brass hardware.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
