A nice JD Wagner model 270-LSB model bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #3 line. The rod weighs 3.5 ounces on my scale. This rod appears mint, at most lawn cast only. Nice medium action, maybe a whisker toward medium fast. The rod is nice and straight. Three up node pattern construction, and the cane is flamed, with a couple of strips slightly darker than the rest. There is a large swell that starts about five inches up from the grip. Excellent varnish. Wrapped a light olive color with a tiny trim of red throughout, except for the ferrules which are wrapped black. Oxidized swiss style ferrules. Carbide stripper with black guides and tip tops. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a medium cigar profile with a gentle front taper. The reel seat is an oxidized cap and ring over a varnished handsome dark burl. The rod packs into a green cloth bag with a hang tag (along with a baggie with a small piece of soap for lubricating the ferrules), and a black powder coated aluminum tube with Jeff's sticker and brass fittings.
