For sale here is a Gary Lacey Royal 7'3" 3/2 4wt bamboo rod. The rod is in excellent plus original condition. All sections are full length and straight. The rod features darkly tempered cane with bronze wraps and deep maroon tipping. The ferrules are wrapped in black. Red agate stripping guide with a fine rope pattern. Lightly swelled butt. Handsome nickel silver winding check with hook keeper attached. Classic cigar grip 5 1/8" in length with only minimal soiling. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with a mortised burl wood spacer. The backside of the spacer features a brass inlay leaf pattern. The spacer has a few light marks from the ring and reel feet. The bottom of the butt cap reads, " G. Lacey Maker".
The truncated nickel silver ferrules are size 9/64 and 14/64, the fit is excellent. The rod comes with handmade ferrule plugs. The rod weighs 3.45 oz. The action is medium-fast. The rod is very well balanced and can cast a long line quite effortlessly. The thin tips provide finesse and tippet protection while the butt provides plenty of power for this four-weight. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings.
These Lacey Royal rods are Gary's best work in my opinion. I also have a 7' 3/2 3wt to be listed soon.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
