For sale here is an R.W. Lancaster (Bob Lancaster) Boulder River 8'0" 2/2 5-6wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 451VNTJB. This is Bob's version of a Paul H. Young Para 15; as such the rod features two different tips, a wet tip and a dry tip. The wet tip being a bit beefier than the dry. The rod is in excellent+ original condition with one exception; the dry tip section has an invisible repair wrap over a node lift in the cane between the last guide and the tip-top. All sections are full length and straight.
Lancaster was greatly influenced by Paul H. Young's work which comes across in the handsome mottle-flamed tempering. Matte oil finish with honey wraps and black tipping. Bright guides. Garrison-style hook keeper. E.C. Powell-style grip 6 7/8" in length with only mild soiling. Down-locking nickel silver reel seat over a nicely figured wood spacer. The blued Swiss-style ferrules are size 15/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 5.10 oz. with the heavier tip and 5.05 oz. with the lighter.
The action is medium-fast for a five or six weight line. The heavier tip produces a slightly slower action. Includes original embroidered plaid bag and original tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
