VFT2740
For sale here is a super scarce John Landman fly rod from 1890-1910. The rod appears to be original and remains in excellent condition. 8 feet in length. Three sections with two tips.
Medium colored cane which, when mortised with alternate sections of cedar form the basis of the handle and reel seat. There are no markings on the rod except for the butt cap, which is marked "Von Lengerke & Detmold N.Y." Hallmark Landman pattern of doubled intermediates. Soldered nickel silver ring and cap. Dark red silks with black tipping at the winding check and guides. The varnish is in fine condition. The ferrules are seamed nickel silver, and a very slight click in the fit is noted with each tip. The very soft, full flexing action will take no heavier than a DT3 silk line, lighter yet if a line can be found.
