A nice H.L. Leonard Tournament fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2-tip and built for a #5 line. Medium fast action. This rod was refinished by Ted Simroe and not fished since then. The rod has a new 5" cigar grip, new agate stripper, and new snake guides. The bamboo is three up node pattern with a wheat straw temper and wrapped in Leonard 326 red. There is a splice running under the butt ferrule and the upper snake guide. The ferrules and hardware are polished and it has the butternut wood slide band seat. The butt cap has the die stamp "The Leonard Rod, H.L. Leonard Rod Co, Makers" and on the reverse "Tournament". The rod is straight and the ferrule fit is good. Non-original bag but the tube is correct.
