A nice Leonard DF50 fly rod, 8' 3-piece, 2-tip for a #6 line. All original and an excellent example of the Leonard Rod Company artistry at that period. Medium, very smooth action. Good ferrule fits. Hand brushed finish. Serial #2549. Black stripping guide and black snake guides with slight amount of brassing inside the guide. This indicates very little use. Wraps are of course red with green and red edges at the keeper and male ferrule. 12 cork cigar grip (approximately 6"). Square thread downlocking screwlock with a nickel silver pocket cap, the latter of which has the Leonard period logo stamp in the cartouche. Varnished butternut spacer. Rod bag and aluminum tube with brass bottom and top. Tube sports the red Leonard Midland Park, NJ ID sticker. The sticker indicates the rod weight at 4 ounces.
