Leonard, H.L. - Golden Shadow 7'6 5wt Graphite Rod

For sale here is an H.L. Leonard "Golden Shadow" 7'6" 5wt two-piece graphite fly rod. The rod is in excellent original condition. Both sections are full length and void of repairs. 

The rod features a dark brown woven graphite blank with bronze wraps and gold and red tipping at the winding check. Bright guides. The white script remains clean and bold. Ring hook keeper. Petite cigar grip 5" in length with only light soiling. Bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised walnut spacer. The spigot ferrules fit together nice and tight as they should with a small gap between sections to allow for wear over time. Both ferrules are fitted with a nickel silver collar for extra strength and durability. The rod weighs a lean 2.10 oz. The action would be considered medium by today's graphite standards. This gives the rod much more feel, finesse, and delicacy - a wonderful dry-fly rod for those tricky casts. Also, though marked as a 5wt the rod is certainly more suited to a 4wt line. The rod includes the original bag and tube.
