For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Model 37 -- 6'6" 2/2 3-4wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 1301, made by Ted Simroe. The rod is in excellent+ condition. The varnish at the edge of one of the tip ferrules has chipped slightly and could use a little dab of varnish. All sections are full length with minor sets in both tips.

Moderately tempered cane with bright red wraps. The winding check features red and gold tipping. Deeply blued guides. Petite swelled butt. Ring hook keeper. The cigar grip is 4 7/8" in length with only light handling marks. Elegant bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised wood spacer. The spacer is stained in certain areas, perhaps from the prior owner leaving a reel attached to the seat. The ferrules are size 10/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 2.25 oz. The rod has a buttery smooth medium action. Includes original bag and tube with brass fittings. Don't miss out on this terrific small stream specialist!
