For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Model 38ACM bamboo rod -- 7' 2/2 3-4wt line. Serial no. 883. The rod is in excellent plus original condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Straw colored cane with dark red wraps. Blued guides. Petite swelled butt with a ring hook keeper. The diminutive cigar grip measures 5" with only light soiling. Cap and ring over a mortised butternut spacer. The bright nickel silver ferrules are size 10/64 with an excellent fit. Indented witness marks. The rod weighs 2.35 oz. Medium action and best with a three weight line in my opinion. Includes original bag with stiffening dowel as well as the original tube with brass fittings. A truly classic taper and a fantastic small stream rod.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.
