For sale here is a H.L. Leonard Model 37H bamboo fly rod -- 6 1/2 feet in length and labeled for a 4 weight line. Two sections with two tips. Serial no. 2886. Post-fire Simroe era. The rod is in excellent condition and all original with the exception being the butt-section ferrule was re-set as well as both tip section ferrules (South Creek Ltd. reset these ferrules). Medium-blonde cane with bright red wraps characteristic of the era. There is a band of maroon thread within the red at the winding check, and male ferrules. Blued guides. Bronze ring hook keeper. Sculpted nickel silver winding check. Petite classic cigar grip 4 1/2" in length. The cork is soiled and very slightly ridged in places. Bright nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised butternut spacer. The nickel silver ferrules are size 9/64 and fit together perfectly. The rod has a sweet medium action and also casts well with a DT3 line. The rod weighs 2 3/8 oz. Includes original yellow bag with dowell stiffener and original tube with red and silver label.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
