For sale here is a HL Leonard Model 39H bamboo rod made by Ted Simroe post-fire. 7 1/2 feet. Two sections with two tips. Cataloged as a 6wt rod. On the medium side of medium fast action. Definitely not medium-slow action like the standard Model 39. With one exception, the rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are straight and full-length. One tip has a professionally-applied protective wrap about half way up covering a hook mark. The rod weighs 3 7/8 oz. Size 13/64 ferrules and the ferrule fit is excellent. Maroon wraps. Bright hardware. Uplocking reel seat with butternut insert. The grip has the slightest bit of ridging, but it's very slight. Includes original yellow bag with stiffener as well as the original aluminum tube.
This rod is offered at a very nice price solely due to the protective wrap on one tip, which doesn't affect its fishing ability whatsoever. Don't let this one get away!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
