For sale here is a pre-fire Leonard Model 49DF Tournament bamboo rod -- 7 1/2 feet, 3/2 for a 4 or 5 weight line. Mint restored condition. 3 3/8 oz. Restoration performed by Don Schroeder. All sections are full length and straight. Original bag and tube. Size 10/15 ferrules. Standard nickel silver cap and ring over a butternut spacer. Medium fast dry fly action. Butt cap has "Leonard & Mills Co." die stamp indicating a build date in the 1920-1930 timeframe. Cap is also marked "Tournament". The female ferrules are not stamped with the patent number. Don did one hell of a nice job restoring this very historic and coveted model by the Leonard Rod Co.
