A very nice Lyle Dickerson 8014 fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tips, built for a #5 or #6 line. 4.7 ounces. Fast DF action. Butter-colored, oven-tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. The wraps are a light brown edged with black. There is a filled seam showing in the last three inches of the butt. The #14 step ferrule is oxidized and handmade by Dickerson. One tip has a 1/2" long clear wrap over a split in the cane just at the tip top. Chrome high arch snake guides and tip tops. "Dickerson 8014" is lettered one flat left and "Everett Ash 1962" lettered on the reverse wrap flat. The grip is 6" long in a large western style. The reel seat is an aluminum downlocking screwlock with a pocket cap and a varnished walnut spacer. The bag and tube appear original however the brass top has been replaced with a delrin cap.
