For sale here and not seen often is a bamboo rod by maker Mike Lerdal of Longmont, Colorado. 7 feet in length, 2/2 for a 3 weight line. In excellent+ condition. Original tube and great bag too! Made in 1995. As you can see clearly in the photos, this rod is absolutely gorgeous in all respects. Mike only made approximately 35 rods in his brief rodmaking career thus far. His rods are not seen at all on the resale market and that tells us something about the ~35 owners' satisfaction level with their rods. Hardware is oxidized nickel silver. 6 inch cigar grip is wonderfully assembled with fine cork. Engraved pocketed butt cap with sliding band, myrtle insert and mortised slot. Recessed rope knurling. #163 Tan silk wraps with black tipping as well as signature wraps. Agate stripping guide. Serial #17. Model 210130. Mike developed all of his tapers as well as building all of his own tools, including his forms. He also made his own inserts for his reel seats. The hardware and tubes were sourced from REC. Mike is expected to be "back" at some point but who knows when? Grab this one while you can as you will not be disappointed with its casting ability (medium fast action), trust me on this.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
