Norling, Dave - Hollowbuilt Bamboo Rod 7'6 5wt

For sale here is a Dave Norling 7'6" 2/2 5wt hollowbuilt bamboo rod. The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length and straight. The rod features straw-colored cane with three-up node spacing, transparent honey colored wraps with fine burgundy tipping. The tip-top wraps are tipped with one and two bands of burgundy to distinguish the tip sections from one another. Handsome, amber agate stripping guide. Bright guides. Ring hook keeper. The winding check/nose cap on the grip is unique as it is transparent, allowing one to see through to the bamboo. The reverse half-wells grip is lightly soiled and free of ridging, hook gouges, etc. Fine nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with a mortised maple spacer. The seat does show a bit of normal fishing wear on the butt cap as well as on the spacer. The swiss-style ferrules are size 12/64 and the fit is perfect. The black streak on the female ferrule is from poor photography, not a mark on the ferrule itself. Included is a fine nickel silver/brass/cork ferrule plug. The ferrule plug was at one time tethered to the bag. The rod weighs 3 1/2 oz. The action is medium fast. Includes original bag and labeled aluminum tube. You don't see many Norling rods on the resale market for a reason. Users lucky enough to own one won't sell it!
