For sale here is an Orvis - CFO II fly reel. The reel is in mint condition. Made in China. The finish is a lovely deep bronze color which is hard anodized. Adjustable one-way clutch disc drag system. As compared to the earlier spring-and-pawl drag, the disc drag has a much wider range of resistance and is capable of more resistance which is easily adjustable via a knurled knob on the face of the reel. The reel features brass gearing, no plastic parts. Easily converts from RHW to LHW. One-sided frame that allows for easy and quick spool changes. Exposed rim for palming. Machined from 6262-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. The handle is turned from beautifully figured impregnated rosewood.
Intended for line weights 3-5. Reel weighs 3.9 oz. Diameter is 2 7/8". Included with reel is original box, manual, Orvis reel pouch, and line and backing on the spool. The line is unused line, I would expect it to be a DT4. The CFO is a modern classic known for its dependability, and clean and classic lines.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
