Orvis "Equinox" Impregnated 7'6 Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6 impregnated Orvis "Equinox" 5wt 2/3 bamboo rod. Throws a 5 weight line very well. Serial number 12802 built in April of 1952 by George Reid and Cal Skinner. The rod is in good fishable condition. All sections are straight and full length. The impregnated cane is sound though the rod could benefit from a good polishing. The cigar grip, though soiled, is in good shape with a very small chip at the winding check. Aluminum down-locking reel seat with walnut spacer that has a few wear marks. The rod has a medium-fast dry fly action. There is a third tip that is broken. It appears that a replacement was made by Orvis at some point as all serial numbers match. Written on the butt is  "J.W. Klages" in the same handwriting as the "Orvis-Impregnated" on the opposite flat. The rod weighs 4 1/8 oz. Ferrule size 13/64. Comes with original bag and tube.

These photos were taken quite some time ago and show all the warts!

Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop).
