For sale here is a Orvis "Golden Eagle" 8' 6-7wt 2 pc. fiberglass fly rod. The rod is in excellent condition. Olive green sanded glass blank with variegated black and olive wraps. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. The female ferrule features an aluminum band to prevent cracks and breakage. The ferrules fit together snugly and securely. The cigar grip is soiled but remains smooth and free of chips or gouges. Classic Orvis, bright aluminum down-locking reel seat with fine wood spacer. The rod weighs 3 3/4 oz. The action on the medium side of medium fast and seems better suited for a 6wt line. A fine rod for heavier pursuits. Includes original bag and tube with green and silver foil label. Unfortunately the tube cap has been lost.
