For sale here is an impregnated Orvis Madison 7' 5wt 2/1 bamboo rod with a labeled weight of 3 3/8 oz. Serial #77353 made in 1975. The rod is in excellent original condition with the exception of the male and female ferrules being re-set masterfully by Mike Clark at South Creek Ltd. All wraps are sound. Both sections are straight and full length. Caramel silks and warm browntone tempered cane for a classic look. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over Walnut. There is a bit of wear on the spacer from a reel foot. Cigar grip with skinny nose characteristic of shorter Orvis rods. The rod has a lovely action on the faster side of medium-fast. The ferrules are 10/64 and the fit is excellent. The rod is described as a 6wt on the rod and tube but a line size down definitely works best for these Orvis rods. Original bag and tube with green and silver label. Actual weight on digital scale 3 1/2 oz. A great all-around trout rod!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
