For sale here is an Orvis "Powerflex" 8'9" 7wt boron graphite fly rod - 2 piece. Serial no. 1288. The rod is in near mint condition with only the lightest handling wear keeping from being considered mint.
The rod features an unsanded blank with dark teal wraps and bright guides. U-shaped hook keeper. Ceramic stripping guide. Sleeve over ferrules with a nice and tight fit as it should be. The Western-style grip measures 7" in length with only the lightest of marks on the cork. Black anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat over a very handsome dark walnut spacer. The action is medium-fast by today's graphite standards. The rod is capable of considerable finesse and accuracy while still providing strength and a good deal of power. Perfect for streamers, big bushy flies, far and fine fishing... etc. A terrific all-around 6 weight.
