For sale here is an Orvis "Powerflex" 8'6" 8wt boron graphite fly rod - 2 piece. Serial no. 0682. The rod is in excellent+ condition. The butt section was made 3/8" shorter than the tip.
The rod features an unsanded blank with teal wraps and bright guides. U-shaped hook keeper. Ceramic stripping guide. Sleeve over ferrules with a nice and tight fit as it should be. The Western-style grip measures 7 3/8" in length with only light soiling. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The action is closer to the medium-fast side by today's graphite standards. The rod is capable of considerable finesse and accuracy while still providing strength and a good deal of power.
