Orvis Salmon 11'6 Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a very scarce Orvis Salmon bamboo rod -- 11 1/2 feet with two sections and two tips. Serial no. 21675, made in 1957. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Dark impregnated cane with caramel wraps. Blued guides. The script remains clean and bold though there is a small area of wear. The upper cork grip is 8" long with moderate soiling. The bottom cork section measures 4". From the end of the upper grip down to the bottom of the rubber butt is 9 1/2". Down-locking aluminum reel seat over a beautifully figured walnut spacer with a 4 3/4" fighting butt. The hard rubber butt is void of cracks or other defects. The blued nickel silver ferrules are size 14/64 and 22/64 with an excellent fit. Brass ferrule plugs. The rod weighs 12.10 oz. Designed for a "FAAE" silk line (or 9/10wt). Original bag and tube with green and white paper label.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
