For sale here is an Orvis Impregnated Seven/Four -- 7' 3/2 3-4wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 87223, made in 1988. With a marked weight of 3 3/8 oz. The rod is in excellent+ condition with a bit of wear to the cork. All sections are full length with a very slight bow in one of the tips (easily straightened).
The rod features dark straw colored cane with transparent honey-colored wraps and apricot tipping. Bright guides. The script remains clean and bold. Ring hook keeper. Western-style grip with mild soiling and very light ridging. Bright nickel silver up-locking cap and ring reel seat over a mortised maple spacer. The ferrules are size 9/64 and 13/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.45 oz. The rod feels very light in the hand with a medium-fast dry fly action. Includes original bag with trout and quail print and original tube with black and gold foil label and brass fittings.
