Orvis - Superfine Trout Bum 6'6 4wt Fly Rod

For sale here is an Orvis - Superfine "Trout Bum" 6'6" 4wt fly rod - 3 piece. Made in 2010. The rod is in near mint condition. There is very light soiling on the grip and cork reel seat spacer. The sanded graphite blank is a dark green color with dark green wraps with a bronzy hue, a nice complement. Black wraps with gold tipping at the signature wrap. Bright bronzed guides and tip-top. U-shaped hook-keeper. Gold witness marks for easy alignment. The ferrule fit is perfect, nice and tight as it should be. Reverse half wells grip. Very fine, bright nickel silver up-locking sliding band reel seat with handsome knurled edges. The spacer has an outer shell of beautifully figured burlwood that has been mortised. Within the burlwood is cork on which the reel foot rests. The rod weighs 2.20 oz. The rod has a fast action with plenty of backbone for its size. This balances with a fine sensitive tip for precise casts, tippet protection, and increased feel. Well suited for dry-fly fishing. This is a terrific little rod for just about any stream with tight, overgrown conditions, or as a great little pack rod for back country fishing. Rod includes original bag, original tube, and original warranty card; all in like new condition.
