For sale here is an Orvis "Trout" 8' 6wt fly rod - 2 piece. Serial no. 0877. The rod is in excellent shape with a bit of honest fishing wear.
The rod features an unsanded blank with maroon wraps and bright guides. U-shaped hook keeper. Ceramic stripping guides. Sleeve over ferrules with a nice and tight fit as it should be. The cigar grip measures 5 1/2" in length with mild soiling. Dual aluminum ring reel seat over a mortised cork spacer. Bright aluminum button butt cap with the rod information stamped into it. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast by today's graphite standards. The rod is capable of considerable finesse and delicacy and feels very light in the hand. Though marked as a 6 weight a 5 weight line will suit this rod much better.
