For sale here is an impregnated Orvis "Wes Jordan" 8' 2/3 5-6wt bamboo rod marked as 4 3/8 oz. Serial no. 61749, made in 1971. One-owner rod. Along with the rod information, the original owner's name is printed on the butt section. This is an interesting rod as it was made by Wes Jordan at the end of his tenure at Orvis and finished by Ron White. The rod remains in near mint condition. One of the original tips was broken near the tip top and repaired by Orvis with an invisible wrap measuring 1 1/16". Orvis made the third tip at this time as well. All sections are full length with a set in one tip.
Dark browntone Bakelite impregnated cane with caramel colored wraps and bright guides. The varnish on the guides and script remains in like new condition with the exception of one small chip in the script varnish over the "y" in "by". U-shaped hook keeper. The cigar grip is 6 1/2" in length with only light handling marks. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The original owner's initials are engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. The blued nickel silver ferrules are size 13/64 with a perfect fit. Actual weight is 4.35 oz. Medium-fast action well suited for almost any trout situation. Includes the original bag and leather tube. The tube remains in fine condition with all the stitches intact. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
