A superb Otto Zwarg model 300 Saguenay fly reel in 2/0 size. This is the single action salmon model and is set up for RHW. 3 7/16" diameter with a 1 13/32" spool width. Weighs 10.1 oz. Serial #C441 which puts it at a 1948 production date and 1949 is engraved on the side plate along with the owner's name. St. Petersburg, Fla. stamp on the oil cover. This reel is used but in superb uncleaned condition. The reel has some rim rash on the bottom of the protective rims and one end of the reel foot shows signs of dressing. Everything else is in perfect condition. Even the screw heads have no marring. The hard rubber side plates have no cracks or scratches. The spool, serpentine handle, and reel foot are aluminum. The foot is stamped "300", "2/0", and C441. The double rollers turn freely. The drag adjusts from light to very heavy. The handle nut, pillars, screws, drag selector, protective rims, and oil cover are German silver. The side plates and handle grasp are hard rubber. More info on the previous owner is available upon request. The leather reel case has the owner's initials stamped in gold leaf on the cover. The back strap is stamped "2/0". The buckle strap is all there but the case could use some T.L.C. to restore suppleness to the leather. A very nice example of this fine Otto Zwarg model.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
