A nice Paul Young Martha Marie bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #4965 and it weighs 3.6 ounces. This is one of the later Todd Young models. Semi parabolic action. Light use with the start of a cosmetic casting crack at the ferrule wrap and a bit of brassing to the inner guides, but very good overall. There is no hand soiling to the grip. Flamed oven-tempered cane. Very good varnish and brown wraps. Carbide stripper and black snakes and tip tops. Super Z style ferrule which is oxidized and shows no brassing at all. The 5 1/2" grip is styled to a half wells. The seat is full length cork with a cap and ring, both of which are oxidized. The cap has the "Paul H Young Co / Detroit-Mich" stamped in a cartouche. The seat is mortised. Very light tan bag and brushed aluminum case with brass fittings.
