Payne 9'6" 3/2/2 #7 Salmon Rod

An E.F. Payne 9'6" 3pc light salmon rod for a #7 line with two mids and two tips. This medium action rod was one of those sold by Abercrombie and Fitch. This rod also appears to have been originally sold with two tips and two-mids since the bag (original) has all five sections. Each section is full length and original. This rod has an uplocking screw-lock with Payne's standard Spanish cedar spacer. The wraps are brown with purple edges and the rod has an agate stripper. Supplied in original Payne tube with tan canvass overbag with fighting butt pocket. The negatives are as follows: as with many Paynes of this vintage the varnish has bag imprints in areas and there are no ferrule plugs and no plug for the bottom of the reelseat when the fighting butt is not in use. There is also a small clear wrap 1/2 inch in length below tip top. All in all, however, a great fishable rod from one of the supreme masters of the craft, one that's ready to head straight up to the Grand Cascapedia.
Also please note that this rod comes to me from a friend who suffered severe losses during the recent flooding in Vermont. We have reduced our fees in order to help him get back on his feet (due to this factor we also expect paypal fees to be covered by purchaser, for those who wish to pay via the service).

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
