For sale here is an E.F. Payne Model 415 -- 10' 3/2 dry fly salmon rod for a #7 or #8 weight line. The rod is in excellent+ refinished condition. The rod was re-wrapped with the wrong color scheme for the length. All sections are full length with minor sets in the mid and one tip.
The rod features beautifully tempered cane with chestnut brown wraps and Granger green tipping. Purple. gold, and green tipping at the winding check and male ferrules. Blued guides and ferrules. The rod has a handsome swelled butt as the butt section was double-built for superior strength. Ring hook keeper. The reverse half wells grip measures 7 5/8" in length with mild soiling. Aluminum up-locking reel seat over a black walnut spacer. The butt cap is removable for use with a fighting butt though it has been lost. Stamped on the seat is, " MADE FOR ABERCROMBIE & FITCH". The ferrules are size 12/64 and 19/64 with a perfect fit. Included are the original ferrule plugs. The rod weighs 8.80 oz. The action is a powerful and swift dry-fly salmon capable of very long casts and easily handles large fish. Includes a replacement bag and no tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
