For sale here is a Payne Model 420 Dry Fly Salmon bamboo rod. 10 1/2 feet in length. 6” detachable fighting butt. 9 5/8 oz. #8 line. 5/64 tip tops, tip 14/64, mid 22/64. Cigar grip, large full n/s slide band reel seat, marked “E.F. Payne / Rod / E.F. Payne Rod Co. / Makers inside logo, oxidized n/s winding check, flap-ring hook keeper, brown silks tipped green on bronze snakes over medium flamed varnished bamboo, signature wraps of green, white, and red at base of each section, agate stripping guide, oxidized n/s ferrules, in original heavy canvas bag with aluminum tip tube. This rod throws a DT8 with authority and would be a pleasure to fish it with a dry fly over a nice Atlantic salmon. It has been very well maintained, one guide on mid and one guide on tip have been expertly re-wrapped, the same tip has a 3/8” invisible wrap. The entire rod received an overcoat of varnish and has some minor bag marks. All sections are full length and straight. Very good overall condition.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
