Peak, Russ -- Zenith 8' Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is a Russ Peak "Zenith" 8' 2/2 6wt fiberglass rod that weighs 3 7/8 oz. Serial no. 12557. The rod is in very good condition, displaying some honest wear though this is purely cosmetic. The tip-top on one of the tips is slightly bent though not a cause for concern. 

The rod features a plum colored sanded blank with matching wraps, gold tipping at the winding check and female ferrule. Lightly varnished blanks with a bit more varnish protecting the wraps. Bright guides. The script remains free of any defect. The butt section shows a more hazy finish appearance than do the tip sections. This could likely be polished out. Along with the rod information, the original owner's name is also written. Loop-style hook-keeper. Cigar grip 6 3/4" in length with a few minor indentations and soiling. Anodized gold aluminum down-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The seat displays wear consistent with the rest of the rod, including some tarnish on the base of the butt cap. The rod features Swiss-style nickel silver ferrules with an excellent fit. Silver witness marks for easy alignment.

The action is medium-fast. The rod is well suited for all of your heavy trout situations from throwing streamers out of a boat to far casts with big dries. Includes original bag and labeled tube.
