For sale here is a Maslan-era E.C. Powell 9'6" two-piece semi-hollowbuilt bamboo rod for a 6-7wt. Two sections with four tips. The rod is in excellent condition. The two original tips were short when our consignor purchased the rod so he asked Tony to make two new tips. The original tips are down 3 5/8" and 4 3/8". All sections are straight.
Golden wraps with full intermediates. The winding check wrapped is tipped in cream and black. Red agate stripping guide. Oxidized guides. Snake guide hook-keeper. Classic ECP style grip. Aluminum up-locking reel seat over a bakelite spacer. E.C. Powell logo stamp on the reel seat. The spacer has a shallow scratch directly where the top of the reel foot sits.
The rod weighs 5.45 oz. The ferrules are size 17/64 with a perfect fit. The ferrules feature red witness marks. The rod feels light and very well balanced in the hand considering the length. This is due to the semi-hollow construction. The action is a very smooth medium-fast with plenty of power to lay out a lot of line. Includes a replacement bag from Maslan when he made the two new tips. Original labeled tube with Yuba City address.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
