For sale here is a Jim Reams 8'3" 2/2 5 weight hollow-built bamboo rod. Serial no. 149-7-05HB. The rod is in excellent+ original condition. All sections are full length and straight.
The rod features lightly flame-tempered cane with an almost pumpkin-tone color. Transparent honey wraps with oxblood tipping. Chestnut and oxblood tipping at the winding check and ferrules. Blued hardware throughout. The finely written script remains clean and bold. Curvy full-wells grip 6 1/4" in length with only the lightest soiling. Oxidized nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a beautiful mortised wood spacer. The truncated Swiss-style ferrules have a perfect fit, nice and smooth. The rod weighs a svelte 3.75 oz with a crisp, authoritative action on the faster side of medium fast. The rod would excel at far and fine fishing on rivers such as the Henry's Fork. The long length makes for exceptional mending and tricky drifts. Includes original bag and tube with label.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. - Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
