A nice Rick Robbins "Selb's 7'9" model fly rod, 7'9", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #310. The rod weighs 4.6 ounces. Medium fast action. Modestly used with some grip soiling and some brassing to the inner part of the snake guides. Blonde cane done with a three up node pattern and a large swell. The rod has an excellent coat of varnish. The main wraps are light brown with red edges. Carbide stripper and snake brand guides and tip tops. The ferrules are polished and in the Maxwell-Marinaro style. The grip is 5" long and shaped to a western profile. The slide band seat is a mortised and varnished quilted maple with a nickel silver rail embedded on the back. The cap and ring are nickel silver and fit a Hardy reel foot to perfection. "Rick Robbins, Maker" is engraved on the bottom of the cap. The rod comes with a brown cloth bag and a polished aluminum tube with brass hardware with Rick's data sticker affixed to it.
