A nice RL Winston fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 line and weighing 3 ounces. Serial #2553 this rod was completed in December of 1988. Medium fast action, in used condition. Dark straw oven temper cane. Chrome snake guides with honey color wraps and a carbide stripper. Dark brown edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. The rod is lettered "R.L. Winston" on the reverse flat and" 7 1/2' 3oz. 2553" 2 flats right. The keeper is 1 flat right. The varnish is superb, just flawless. The step ferrules fit good and are wrapped to the welt. The 5 3/4" western-style grip has been cleaned, causing a small amount of ridging. The reel seat is a down locking screw lock of nickel silver with a pocket cap. Nice mortise in the seat wood spacer but I don't what kind of wood this is. Comes with a cream cloth bag with the Winston logo and a brown crackle paint aluminum tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
