Ron Kusse Elfin Fly Rod 6'3" 2/2 #3/4

371

A nice Ron Kusse "Elfin" model fly rod, 6'3", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #3/4 line. Serial #0051. Fast action. Used but in very good condition. Appears to be impregnated cane, light brown with mottled dark spots. Brown wraps. Oxidized and truncated swiss-style ferrules with a tiny "Kusse" stamp on the female. The hangtag states the weight as 1 7/8 oz. 5" slim cigar grip tapers to the front wrap. The slide band seat is a lovely walnut burl that steps up to the last cork in a traditional Catskill style. The oxidized cap and ring is stamped in line with the wrap flat and "the Elfin", and on the reverse "Ron Kusse, Maker" in the cartouche. Cap and ring retain about 85% of the original oxidation. Comes packed in a bag with a stiffener and hangtag. The rod tube has black crackle paint with a gold anodized aluminum collar and top. The rod tube is packed in a plastic sleeve with a Ron Kusse "Best quality rods" medallion attached.
