333

A nice Ron Kusse quad fly rod, 7'6" 2-piece 2-tip built for a # 4/5 line. Serial #9742. 3 5/8 oz is the weight listed on the hang tag. This rod shows signs of modest use. The varnish is great and there are no scratches or hook digs. 2 opposed node pattern construction. Light flame color. Guide wraps are brown with edge wraps of black, red, and black at the cork check, ferrules and tip-tops. The step ferrules are oxidized and the female ferrule has a tiny roller die stamp of "Kusse" in an oval cartouche. The 5" slim cigar grip is slightly soiled and is tapered to a hex form at the cork check. The varnished Spanish cedar reel seat steps up to the rear cork. The seat is an oxidized cap and ring. The cap is stamped "Ron Kusse, Maker" in cartouche and has some edgewear to the oxidation. The rod is packed in a yellow cloth bag with Ron's hang tag attached. Comes with a brass top and bottom tube painted black.
